1. Information We Collect

MetroSMS LLC ("MetroSMS", "we", "us", or "our") operates the real-time SMS transit assistance service at (505) 448-8007 and associated web portals. Because our platform is built on digital equity and privacy-by-design, we collect only the minimal data necessary to fulfill transit requests:

Mobile Phone Number: Used exclusively to deliver outbound arrival schedules, departure alarms you request, and customer service replies.
Inbound SMS Text Content: Processed instantaneously by our kinematic GTFS-RT engine to match bus stops, routes, and arrival times.
Advertiser Account Data: For registered sponsors, we collect business name, contact name, email, billing address, and phone number to manage sponsorships and invoice delivery.

2. Strict Prohibition on Data Selling & Sharing

Carrier 10DLC Mandatory Disclosure: Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS transit communications will NEVER be sold, rented, leased, traded, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances.

All mobile messaging data is retained in strict isolation solely for transit dispatch, TCPA compliance logging, and system security.

3. How We Use Your Data

Delivering real-time GTFS-RT bus arrival times and schedule predictions.
Setting one-time user-requested departure reminder alarms (e.g. "Remind me 10 mins before bus 66 arrives").
Recording delivery logs for TCPA compliance and spam/threat prevention.
Generating aggregated, non-personally identifiable corridor foot-traffic metrics for advertisers.

4. Opt-Out & Data Deletion (STOP / HELP)

You have full control over your mobile communications at all times:

5. Data Security & Retention

All data transmitted to our infrastructure is encrypted using industry-standard TLS 1.3 encryption. Passwords for advertiser accounts are protected with salted SHA-256 cryptographic hashes. Ephemeral SMS session state expires automatically after 24 hours of inactivity.
